Fireworks
Happy New Year! Well, after a whole year of anticipation 2008 is finally here and we will be off on our Big O Southern Adventure the day after tomorrow!
The city of Naples had a fireworks display from 7:30 pm to 8 pm on New Years Eve. We braved the traffic and crowds to be in downtown Naples around 5:30 to get a reasonable parking spot and catch a bite to eat. Cannot recommend Tony's Off Third. We waited about an hour on the beach before the the fireworks started. It was wall to wall people. Getting off the beach was a trying time as literally thousands and thousands of people had to traverse a single 3 foot wide boardwalk. But we made it and had a good time doing it.
